In the series of informative articles, I introduce you to hyperphagia.

Like bulimia, we have hyperphagia. It is also the fact of eating a large quantity of food. The difference is that the person does not make himself vomit and gains weight. So you have understood it, it is an eating disorder that leads to overweight or even obesity.
The exact cause of hyperphagia is not yet known. However, it could be related to a state of depression or anxiety.
Symptoms are impulsive recurrent attacks as in bulimia nervosa. Except that here the person does not make himself vomit and this can have serious health consequences. Hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes or even heart disease are the risks.
There are several treatments to overcome it. Some medications are effective, accompanied by therapy to help you learn to eat properly. In a way, to bury the hatchet and have a different look at food by rediscovering the pleasure of eating.
